Brother, I lost my card. Will someone use it?

There is a risk. In the news, a college student lost his ID and later somehow “became” the boss of a company.

Wow! Did he really become a boss? Did he have a lot of money?

Not at all. Someone used his name illegally. As a result, he couldn’t easily buy high-speed train tickets and had trouble finding a job. He felt terrible.

Then what did he do? Did he cry?

First he checked the records, then asked the authorities to cancel the fake registration, and finally sued in court. The court made the bad people pay compensation, including for emotional distress.

So how can we protect ourselves? I don’t want to become a “fake boss.”

If you lose your documents, tell an adult and replace them as soon as possible. Also keep an eye out for anything suspicious. If something really happens, don’t be afraid—ask the police and the courts for help.
